Is There A Statute Of Limitations For Filing A Suit In Small Claims Court In North Carolina? Car Accident.? |
I was the schnook of a rear end collision, and haven't been able to afford filing the papers...yet.
I'm intelligent I'm through, as far as any chance of pursuing the driver who hit me. It happened over a year ago, and because of a false statement inclined, their insurance denied me. I lost my car through no fault of my own, and I now have the money to file the case, but don't know if I can. I about it's too late. I live in New Hanover County. Wilmington N.C.
| Answer: If you are interested in looking at the statute, you can find it here: http://www.ncleg.net/EnactedLegislation/ Statutes/HTML/ByArticle/Chapter_1/Articl e_3.html If you were back ended, you should sign a contingent fee agreement with a personal injury attorney. He will guide it for you and he gets paid only if you win. |
