I Live In The West Coast Of Florida. Seriously Considering Moving To Winston Salem NC (for My Job).?

Can anybody give me an opinion of how much homeowner's insurance and property taxes are up there?

Answer: Taxes are mutable, depending on whether you live in W-S proper or a suburb. We lived in a 'burb and paid (I contemplate) around $2250/year on a 2700 sq ft house in a nice neighborhood.

I seem to remember that insurance wasn't bad, ~$700/year.

Some of the 'burbs (with the McMansions) get VERY spendy.

One vital note. Commuting can be a bear. I lived in the NW area and commuted to Greensboro. On an usual day, 45 minutes. Worst case, 3 HOURS. The freeways

a provender w/6 chairs. These were damaged in water , bought in 1965and need an idea for insurance purposes. They were made by One and only Furniture Makers of Winston--Salem NC.

Answer: Your insurance business will only allow a certain book allowance for this. Talk to them and see what they will allow ... if you have replacement insurance, then don't worry about it...reasonable replace it and they will give you the money back.
