Company Canceled Dental & Vision Insurance Without Telling Employees?

On Oct 1st my company changed our Organization sponsored Health Plan. The new plan as of Oct 1st, did not include Dental & Vision, where as our old plan did. On Oct 6th, I had an eye exam and purchased some eye vex. The doctor charged me based upon my vision insurance plan and was going to bill the remainder to the insurance company. On Oct 9th, my company disclosed to it's employees that as of Oct 1st, our haleness care plan had changed and we no longer had vision or dental coverage as of Oct

Hesitation now I'm a full time law student. I have major medical insurance but I haven't been able to obtain dental or vision insurance because I am not employed. I breathing in Illinois.

I miss vision insurance. I am not covered under my parents vision insurance because the company dropped the insurance. I wear contacts and I get a supply for 3 months but still they are priceless because they are a special perscription. Are there any compannies that just offer vision insurance by itself?
