Affordable Medical Travel Insurance For Canadian!?

I'm working to New Zealand at the end of December for a year and I'm going to need some medical insurance for when I'm over there. Does anyone know any trustworthy and good companies? Right now I'm looking at Blue Cross but I would like some other options.

Answer: I've habituated to Travel Guard for a couple of years now when I travel. They are the only company that I know of that does both health insurance, and insurance for impedimenta and other things all together. (http://www.traveIguard.com)

I haven't seriously looked at Blue Piqued in a long time. They have a good reputation, but I have no idea about the price.

I have a girlfriend who lives in Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt who'd like to visit me, however they command a Temporary Residence Visa to come into Canada. My friend was told by the people that endure the applications that they require medical insurance, which I assume is the same or similar to travel insurance that we get when travelling abroad (like Vulgar Cross).

How Does A Canadian Buy Travel Insurance Outside Of Canada?

I am a Canadian townswoman, I pay my taxes and my medical bills on time and I am still considered a resident of Canada. I have been in China for over a year and my aforementioned insurance ran out - which didn't matter because I am covered in China by the school I work for. Now I have to go to Ghana for a week. I'd like to buy travel insurance, but all the sites I'm discovery say that you must be in Canada to buy the insurance. I can't go home first! What should I do?

I had a like situation- I was living in the Caymans Islands, no longer a Canadian resident, and wanted to travel for the summer. But every action required that Canadian citizens be insured in their home privince, which I no longer have as non-resident. World Travel Insurance For Canadians Without Provincial Health Insurance?

The human race travel insurance for Canadians without provincial health insurance

I am looking for an international backpacker medical travel insurance provider that doesn't let the certainty that my MSP (or similar provincial health insurance) is no longer valid. I have been out of Canada for 3 years and definite insurance providers require a provincial plan from the home country of the traveler to be in meaning before providing insurance. I need to find a reasonably priced alternative

You may not need alot of coverage, but it is not a bad philosophy to consider some protection. The more vauable and important your trip, the more you should consider covering it with travel insurance.
