Will My Car Insurance Rates Go Up If I Crashed A Car As A Valet?

backed into another car as a valet. My institution has insurance. The insurance exchanged was my bosses, and the other 2 parties involved (car I was in and the car that was hit). My license number was taken down and I received a above ticket. Oh well. My real concern is does MY insurance ever find out about this? Or is it all on the company's insurance?

Answer: you are not obliged to do that eh? yes you have a ticket, yes it goes on your record, yes if you qualify for traffic school pay for the school, and the ticket is dropped and your memorial is clean. If you do not qualify for traffic school it goes on your record at the dmv.
 
 

Valet Insurance Policy Help?

My teeny brother is a valet and he lost a set of keys while working. The company (who has numerous shady company practices) is not paying my brother because they say he owes them the cost of the keys and getting the autostart reprogrammed with them or whatever. Wouldn't keys being mystified be under the companies insurance in some way through property or whatever? Please help answer so i know if my brother is being extorted out of his simoleons. Thanks in advance.

Answer: No. "Oops I missing the keys" is not covered under a garage liability policy - the kind of tactics that covers valet services. Even if it was, the deductible on the policy would be at LEAST $500, and I'm guessing the keys are under that.

However. Unless he signed an unanimity with them stating otherwise, they CANNOT legally withhold his pay, or make him pay for keys he honestly lost. He can queue a complaint with his state department of labor.

I due recently got hired for a parking valet position.

In the interview, I was asked if I was insured, which I am. But, my fellow-countryman told me one of his friends did the same thing, and the whole problem with the employer not providing parking valet insurance for his employees, anytime the valet causes a ding or a dent, the valet's own individual insurance premium raises to $500 to pay off that one incident, and $500 for each incident that occurs.

So, not true, what brother says. The personal auto tactics has built in exclusions for you, while you're in the BUSINESS of working with autos - including parking them.

BUT. If organization isn't paying to cover you, and your personal auto doesn't cover you, that means YOU must pay for all damages to the cars you parkland, out of pocket.

Find a different job.
