Why Do Financial Experts Say Term Life Insurance Is Better Than Whole Life?
Question by JCV916 | Posted in Personal Finance
I've heard it from Suze Orman, I've announce it in Personal Finance for Dummies, but why do these life insurance agents keep telling me that Cash Value is healthier at protection than Term?
Answer: Life insurance agents can only prosper money off by selling one product, which is life insurance. If you sold a cash value life insurance, the average annual expensive is about $2000. If you sold term insurance, the average annual premium is about $1000. Lets say your commission is 95%. Would you rather get paid $1900 by selling a realize value life insurance or $950 by selling term insurance?
So there's a huge incentive for an agent to sell cash value life insurance. Its also immense
If A Life Insurance Agent Works Solely On Commission And They Sell To A Customer A Term Policy .....?
Question by Mommy...LT | Posted in Insurance
and they exchange a term policy to a customer that's about 600K, how much would that agent make off of that sale?
Answer: Not wellnigh as much as you might think.
It will vary a great deal, depending on the company you bought the game plan through, and whether the agent is independent, or works for an agency or financial planning/advisory firm (in which happening he/she is sharing his/her commission).
Generally, the agent is not paid a lump commission up front on term policies, but gets a measly commission each time you pay your premium. A policy that size? Likely a few dollars a mon

We're waiting on the paperwork
Answer: lowest steep would be whole life paying the first 4 years and then letting cash value/dividends pay remaining premiums to age 65.

I am in USA but not a durable resident or citizen. When I called Met Life insurance they told that I can not purchase life insurance. The New York Life insurance agent tells me that I can leverage a Term/Whole life insurance as long as anyone is in legal status. Is this true? Does each insurance company has it's own rules heedless of eligibility?
I am waiting for my permanent resident or green card approval if that makes any rest.
Please send me any links
Thanks.
Answer: No insurance cast HAS to sell you life insurance. Each insurance company has its own rules.
But I think the NYL agent is misrepresenting things - if you're only TEMPORARILY here legally, NYL perhaps also isn't going to sell you a policy.
Yes, you have to be legal. And you ALSO have to be a permanent resident here. AFTER you get your permanent residency, you can get that protocol with EITHER company - or both, or any of the hundreds of other companies that sell insurance
Where Can I Buy Level Term Life Insurance Directly From The Company W/o Paying Agent Fees?...?

...(Co. must be well rated.
I have tried sites like insure.com, but they refer you back to individual agents, much to my disconcert.
Answer: You cannot. Even if you talk to the insurance corporation directly, you will be talking with one of THEIR AGENTS. State law in every state, requires that an AGENT is the one who talks to you about insurance, and accepts your payment. You cannot shun the agent.
Which means, you cannot avoid the agent fees. Which, by the way, are not SEPERATE, but built into the rate. Even if you COULD buy your insurance from a company without an agent, you don't get a trim RATE.
