What Are The Best Options For Low Cost Family Health Insurance In CA? |
Question by Pony 1 | Posted in Insurance
Hi, I spirited in CA and had health insurance through COBRA after I lost my job. It recently got canceled because of a payment mix up. What are some options for health insurance at a low cost? I'm not familiar with the new health care reforms so I'm not unwavering what my options are. I have a family of 5. Thanks so much!
Answer: In most cases, your options are the same as before the reforms.
Getting insurance for only the children, and none of the adults, is no longer an selection.
All other options that existed before the reforms still exist.
Depending on the total income of everyone in the household (not good those requiring insurance), medi-cal may or may not all be an option. No other options are available that were not options before the reforms.

Answer: I'm in a compare favourably with boat, but unemployed and my COBRA insurance has run out. So I'm looking for an individual policy myself. FYI, i'm pretty trusty you don't qualify for any student-based insurance b/c you're not in school.
And unless you can get the insurance through your job, you are screwed. Why? Group insurance (i.e., through an chief) will generally cover preexisting conditions, while an individual policy you get on your own ,,,, it won't. Norm - I have osteoarthritis |
