What Is Loss Of Service As Compared To A Loss Of Use Cover Under A Liability Insurance Policy? |
Question by mcc | Posted in Insurance
My car was hit by another car which was being try out driven by a motor shop. My car had to be repaired and I had to commute to work for a week. Added to that I had to lodge home for 4 days since I was recuperating from the injury. The shop has a liability policy and I wanted to upon from that insurance.
Answer: as a ordinarily, loss of use is when your car is in the shop for repairs and you then have no car to drive. they would owe to put you in a rental car so you could go to work, grocery bank etc.
but the other poster advice of $25 is wrong. most likely if you do not rent a car, they will give you around $10 to $15 per day expenses for using a one's nearest/friends car or for using alternate services. the reason for the lower amount is that a rental rat on has administrative expenses; |

Question by kbmoose1 | Posted in Insurance
58 years old, non-functioning, retired, wife isn't working. Kids are over 21. Most of my assetts are either in a Roth or Household IRA. Other than that, our (mortgaged) home, two cars (paid for), household stuff, and savings / investments of well under $100,000. SSA infirmity and a small pension for income. Almost no debt except mortgage and 1 Parent College credit of under $6000.
So do I need a liability policy, or should I run with the liability coverage on homeowners and
Answer: In your maintain, are your retirement savings protected from a lawsuit? You should probably find that out.
I usually tell people, you lack liability limits that are slightly over THREE YEARS income, PLUS 100% of your attachable assets. Which would file the house, in most states (again, you'll need to ask about homestead laws in your state).
If you can put $500,000 on the homeowners programme, and $500,000 on the auto policy, and your house and retirement funds |

For a services presence with a $150,000 general liability policy what would be a good estimate to use. Also what about errors and omissions. 1-3 employees.
Thanks, but both of those placement came up as a warning by my filter.
Answer: A $150,000 imprecise liability limit would be very unusual limit to seek. Liability limits are almost always expressed in multiples of $100,000. In today's term you would more likely be seeking limits of $500,000, $1,000,000 or even more.
You need to call an agent in your area that deals with commercial insurance. If you describe your place to the agent he/she can give you a ballpark idea of what general and professional liability might cost. You will not find an answer to your mistrust |
