Its home insurance renewal continuously and i've got the hump with Lloyds TSB up to the back teeth. Anyone got any comments about good \ bad in surance companies - value for riches / performance etc. Thanks


Answer: Most are fairly competetive - try Tesco or Nationwide - get 3 quotes and play them against each other.
 
 

Home Insurance Was Not Started By Mortgage Advisor?

I bought a bordello in may 2010 and nationwide provided the mortgage the adviser set up my life insurance and home buildings insurance. We recently had a explode pipe and went to claim from nationwide only to be told that we had no buildings insurance as she had cancelled our old insurance on our previous gear but not opened the new one, looking at my statements i have 2 insurance payments going out but it turns out im paying for my new subsistence and the old life insurance on my previous home.


Answer: Did you engage a cancellation request form to cancel the old building insurance and did you sign the application to foothold the new insurance on the new house? Do you have a copy of the application? Did you give them money to start the new policy? Your agent unbiased can't "start" a policy without your request (which is the signed application and payment). If you have data you did sign the application and make a payment, you may have something, if you do not, then you don't.

Home Buildings Insurance-what Am I Entilted To?

I electrified in Hull, UK and my area was badly flooded in summer 07. Those worse high-sounding moved out straight away as their homes were unliveable and the builders moved in. We agreed with our erosion adjuster to wait until after Christmas to start on our house. Even though we have no flooring and there is mould all over. Now we are at one's fingertips to move out so the work can begin but the loss adjuster says we can't live in a hotel because it will price to much (4 adults 1 dog) we know there

Home Insurance No Claims?

For the sometime 3 years I have lived on business premises and had business insurance in joint names with my wife. We made 2 claims. Also I let a property out for 7 years and had landlords insurance on which I made one claim. I am now selling up and moving into my own home so constraint buildings and contents insurance in my name. Have I lost my no claims discount that I had accrued prior to moving into my own calling where I had never claimed on personal contens and buildings insurance in my own


Answer: Residential assets has its own no claims bonus assoiated with it, so your business NCD will not apply in this case.

To be quite up, the insurance market right now is cut throat. Companies will give you a very good introductory discount to get you on panel in the first place. This will probably out weigh the discount you would recieve in the first place. I wouldnt take any see of discounts, they are all a fad anyway!!!

Can I Claim My Money Back For Miss Sold Buildings And Contents Insurance?

i have bin dodge sold my building and contents insureance whwn i first bought my homthe dealer sortedall my insurances out with his recomediations .i have a rennewal for home insurance of 25 pound a month this is saturate my parents pay 3 quid a month ive bin sold wrong insurance as it covers all unessesaries freezer insured for 1000 a pasting? can i claim my money back all i need is contents insurance!!


Answer: You confirm broker sorted it all out, but you must have the paperwork straight after, did you even bother looking at it?

As for buildings, if you have a mortgage, they hold on it.
