Why Does The Unemployment Rate Not Include Post Insurance Unemployed?

People who are out of unemployment insurance and still unoccupied are not counted . Why? Wouldn't it be a more true indicator of the state of the emploment situation? Does the nation's leader really think you should be a departent store greeter 6 months and 1 day after your tech job goes to China.

Answer: Because it's the unemployment Grade, not the unemployment percentage. It's the rate of new applications being filed to collect unemployment insurance.
No, the countrys leader perhaps doesn't think that. Since this is money paid to you as a result of making a 'claim' on the custom you paid into while you were working, you are only due the dollar value that you were insured for.

I recall it is active job seekers, but is there limits to how long they are counted? Do they only count those who are drawing unemployment insurance?

Answer: anyone who is actively looking for vocation is condiered unemployed, whether or not they are collecting unemployment is irrelevant because you can be fired for poor work on your part and still be at leisure but not eligible to collect unemployment insurance.

And then WI has this quirky requirment that if you are on a new job from your old job and your income before you let go on your new job does not exceed (X) then you don't get unemployment. So that isn't an careful basis for counting

What is the Unemployment Insurance & Defect Insurance rate in NJ ? Does it apply to sole proprietors, Singe LLC, and S-Corp entities? Does is max out like FICA?

Answer: If the lone proprietor has NO employees - ie, you're a one man shop - then no. However, if you don't pay, you can't play - you won't get disability benefits if you get disabled if you don't buy the coverage. And of movement, as a sole prop, if your business goes under, you're not eligible for unemployment anyway.

BUT, if you have any EMPLOYEES, you have to pay unemployment taxes for them. You ALSO have to buy workers compensation for them - it doesn't question if they're relatives!!
