CA Unemployment Insurance Law Regarding Pay During 60-day Notice Period?
Question by QandA | Posted in Law & Ethics
Hello:
I got laid off in May'09 & will be receiving my undistorted salary July '09.
Does this constitute wages to be reported for UI purposes to be reported on CA EDD put up line-6.
Thanks,
QnA
Answer: Yes - you have to write-up it either when you file, or if you have already filed and are using continued claim forms, on that form. They will not send you checks while you are collecting a pay. When the money stops coming, you will need to file a claim (if you have not already) or reopen your demand. If you have not already filed for UI, wait until the checks cease. Will save much paperwork.
